Encrypt, then upload
The official plugin encrypts local history on your Mac before sending it to the vault. Another enrolled Mac pulls and decrypts it locally.
GINKGO SYNC · OFFICIAL PLUGIN
One history, safely flowing between your Macs. You choose to enable sync. History is encrypted on your Mac before upload; the service stores ciphertext only.
HOW SYNC WORKS
The official plugin encrypts local history on your Mac before sending it to the vault. Another enrolled Mac pulls and decrypts it locally.
Generate an 8-character, one-time pairing code on an enrolled Mac and enter it on another Mac within 5 minutes.
Sync runs on launch and wake, about every 45 seconds while running, and 5 seconds after a local save. Sync Now and Cancel are available in Settings.
SECURITY & BOUNDARIES
History is end-to-end encrypted before upload. The service stores ciphertext, not readable clipboard content.
Your passphrase wraps the vault key locally using Argon2id and is never uploaded. Keep it safe.
Sync is optional. Storage limits cap the encrypted vault, not local history. The sync subscription and app license are independent.
Important: if you lose your passphrase with no enrolled Mac remaining, the cloud copy becomes permanently unreadable. Nobody can reset it.
GINKGO SYNC
Optional end-to-end encrypted history sync between your Macs. Every subscription includes end-to-end encryption (the server can only see ciphertext), multi-device sync, and a private stats page. Storage limits cap the encrypted vault, not your local history.
Sync checkout is not available yet. Plans are shown for reference; purchasing will open once checkout is configured.

GET STARTED
The dev.ginkgo.sync plugin is hand-installed during author testing. A sync subscription is not an unlimited-history app license.
Install Ginkgo and the official sync plugin, then open Sync in Settings.
Copy the subscription key shown after checkout. Set a passphrase twice and a device name, then enter the key to create your vault.
Generate a pairing code on your enrolled device. Choose Join vault on another Mac and enter it; history then syncs in the background.
